My wife, Anastasia, had a baby boy at noon on Monday, 17 October. His name is Alexander. We call him Sasha.

I told Mihai that Sasha looked like the Dalek commander Davros when he was born. On reflection, I don’t think that was a very fair observation. True, he was shocked by the light of the world, but then who wasn’t? (Well, Davros for one, because he was basically blind, wasn’t he?). Sasha shivered while Anastasia and I held him and cried.

As soon as I’ve figured out how I shall post some images so you can judge for yourselves.
